Troop Organization & Structure

How to charter a Troop

Talk with the leadership of your church or Christian organization about the vision, mission, and statements of faith and values. If you are aligned with these principles, your organization and its liaison must:
  • agree to the Trail Life USA Statement of Faith (see our Home page)
  • "pre-charter" the organization at www.TrailLifeUSA.com
  • learn as much as you can about Trail Life USA
  • appoint the organizations liaison, a Charter Organization Representative (COR)
    • select the rest of the "core leadership team" of Committee Chairman, Troop Chaplain, Treasurer, and a Troopmaster
    • meets to secure potential "direct contact" youth leaders
  • see that direct contact youth leaders complete basic online youth leader training
  • invite youth and parents are to participate
  • schedule a special information (Join Trail Life USA) meeting/event to officially sign forms, submit fees, and become members
Our local volunteer Area Team (Committee) is being built and is specifically tasked with supporting local Troops and impacting a community.
